#1 This job ALWAYS results in good feelings and happy people.  Who wouldn't  love that?

#2 I believe that organizing is more than just making a space look better it is also about making the space FEEL better.  In applying the principles of Feng Shui it is important to understand a basic concept; Chi or energy flow and how we make it work for us.  Chi can affect our life in two ways; the external one that surrounds our living space or work building, and the internal one within our home or office.  It is important for Chi to be free flowing and not restricted so that it becomes stagnant.  By keeping your spaces relatively clutter-free, you are not only allowing the free flow of the Chi, but you are removing stagnant or dead Chi created by that clutter giving yourself new opportunities in your life.
Without doubt we have the power to manage our close environment to transform our lives.  I believe clutter clearing is a way to transform that environment.

#3 My friends and family told me to.  I have been organizing since I was a little girl.  Most recently I helped a few friends who were going thru some tough times in their lives organize and clear the clutter which did in turn help them to transform the energy within their environment.  I am not a doctor, or therapist or even a Feng Shui expert but you won't find anyone more enthusiastic about your clutter or more supportive of your desire to kick out the chaos and make room for the calm.

exit chaos, enter calm

"Thank you so very much for everything!  You have been a joy to work with.  How lucky we are to have such a clever, wonderful organizer.  Thanks again!!!"

Nicole H.

Nicole makes molehills out of mountains!  With rapidly accumulating toddler toys, a growing home office and general excess of "stuff," our family was starting to feel more than a little bit cramped.  Within hours Nicole planned, rearranged, organized, contained and helped us enter calm, with endless enthusiasm and energy throughout the process.  She also has an eye for design and with a few quick furniture moves, we instantly had more space yet our house felt cozy not cramped.  As a fellow agent, I refer her services again and again.  Whether looking to fit into your current home or staging a house for sale, I can't recommend Nicole more highly!

Nicole has been a godsend for me as I moved with my three young children twice within a year. She helped me organize, decorate, and nest. She completely worked within my budget, and suffered through endless trips to Ikea... and then effortlessly put together the furniture ! She built systems to keep me and the kids organized; designed an "elfa" shelving system for us; offered advice on refinishing existing furniture rather than purchasing new.

Beyond brilliant!

A story for you -- today I was at Sears thinking I needed one tire replaced. They measured the treads and said I need them all replaced. Since I was within a warranty, if I could prove that I had the tires rotated enough times, I would get a discount on the new tires from Goodyear. So I drove home, found my Nissan folder and drove back. I had enough paperwork ready that they will give me 50% off the price of the tires. The thing is -- 2 weeks ago, I wouldn't have had all the Nissan papers in the same place and wouldn't have known where to start. So this organizing has already paid off!

In 2008 we decided to downsize and sell our large family home of thirty-two years.  As we neared the finish line of our self-directed efforts (over 3-4 months of cleaning out and stream-lining the big old house), we called Nicole McGrath to provide a final boost of energy and help us make the tough calls that come with selling after 32 years ---keep, relocate, donate, trash, etc.  What a good choice we made!  Nicole is a breath of fresh air.  Cheerful, tasteful, and business-like, she energized us and, abra-kadabra, she solved problems and liberated spaces.  What a happy experience.  She’s worth the time and money, has impeccable judgment, and is quick, classy, and efficient.  She worked with both of us well, and we gave our daughter a gift certificate of three hours of Nicole’s time and help.

  • I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Development (my other passion) from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!).
  • I am married with two children and live in Bethesda, Maryland.
  • The most common thing people say is when they find out about my business is "Your house must be so organized".
  • With two children and a husband that just don't seem to be bothered by clutter I know first hand how difficult it can be to maintain an organized environment and believe that the first line of defense is to have a good, sound solution that even the youngest can implement.
  • I am a Pisces (in case you follow astrology).
  • The little "yoga girl" was my first logo.  I created her based on myself when my hair was short!
  • I am know known for my furniture re-arranging.  So, my husband often jokes that he feels like Dick Van Dyke.  See clip below.

There are three main reasons why I started an organizing business.
